In 1978, Jere Locke Beasley founded the firm which is now known as Beasley, Allen, Crow, Methvin, Portis & Miles, P.C. From 1970 through 1978, he served as lieutenant governor of the state of Alabama, and for a short period as governor. In 1978, he re-entered the private practice of law representing plaintiffs and claimants in civil litigation. This was the genesis of the present law firm which now employs 40 lawyers and approximately 240 support staff. Beasley Allen is the largest plaintiff's law firm in the country whose offices are located in one city.
Our support staff includes an in-house medical doctor, full time nurses, investigators, computer specialists, a public relations department and a comprehensive graphic design department.
We are one of the country's leading firms involved in civil litigation on behalf of claimants, having represented hundreds of thousands of people. We hold state and national records for the largest jury verdicts in numerous categories.
